I'm just getting started with the software - I've also been trying out QuantDeveloper.NET and it holds up pretty well to that package - very impressive considering the price difference.

    A few questions:

    1. When will real-time actually appear?

    2. Will real-time support Interactive Brokers?  IB now offers 1 year of historical data as well - it'd be great to have access to both.

In terms of comparing the two tools - I give the edge to TradersStudio in the ease of programming, optimization, reporting and charting.  Murray - your examples are very useful in terms of both examples and trading ideas - so I'm very thankful to have them.

I do like the structure of QuantDeveloper (they have specific objects for Market, Entry, Exit, Money Management, Risk, Exposure etc. - so a bit more object-oriented in this area), although I've found their split between two different strategy types a bit strange - they have strategies that can be compiled, and those that cannot - just a bit weird.  But the independent objects does seem to keep code clearner - or at it seems to at the moment - again, I need to educate myself more on TS.

They do have an excellent data-management portion - obviously they are doing real-time at this point and TS isn't - so it's not a fair comparison.

I'm still getting my arms around the concepts of Trading Plan and Session - I'm not clear, yet, as to where to put code - but that will hopefully become clear within the next week or so.

So far, looks great - really enjoying the tool.

On a unrelated note, does anyone have any idea where I can get the actual data associated with the symbol $NAA50R (symbol from Stock Charts)?  I can't seem to find this data anywhere - not from CSI or any other vendor.  Any ideas would be great.

    Best,

    Damian
