I've just gotten started and run into a bit of a problem.  I am trying to setup data from CSV files using the "Add Data Links" menu item.  I specify ASCII data, and TS creates a TXTINFO.TXT file.   The only problem is, the format is *thinks* is in the file is not correct.  I know there is a wizard that is supposed to come up, but I can't figure out how to force the wizard to come up so that I can tell it the correct format.

The format of my data is:

Date, Open, High, Low, Close, Volume, Adjusted Close

    TraderStudio thinks this is:

Date, Open, High, Low, Close, Volume, Open Interest

How can I get TS to stop supposing it knows what it is doing and let me specify the format?

This technology all changed in 2.5. Upgrader will start be available over the Memorial Day weekend. We have many customers and it will take a week or so to get them all upgraded.

    Hi Murray,

I am already running 2.5 and having this problem. So your answer doesn't really apply? In 2.5, it still thinks it knows the data format, when it really doesn't, and there doesn't seem to be any way to force the wizard to run.

    thanks,

I can't get ts to read my pinnacle .LNG files. The message:

'wizard cannot find any ascii file in the directory...'

    any suggestions?

    thanks

You need to set up Pinnacle to generate CSV files.

Customers that did not select the CSV option when installing Pinnacle
data can convert to this data format at any time as follows:

    1. Go to the Pinnacle web site at www.pinnacledata.com

    2. Select Customer Support in upper right corner

    3. Download the small file CONVERT2CSV.EXE to anywhere on your hard
drive, usually RIGHT CLICKING on it will produce some sort of SAVE TO
or SAVE TARGET AS type window.

    4. After downloading CONVERT2CSV.EXE to your hard drive, run it by
clicking on it, it will change the CLC and IDX Script files to CSV format

    5. When done you should rerun DMAKERW (click
START...PROGRAMS...PINNACLE DATA...DMAKERW) and rebuild your ASCII
seriess, it is recommended you click on the CLEAN OUT ASCII FILES
button in lower left before clicking BUILD SERIES NOW to get rid of
the ASCII series you previously built.

    Hi team,
I too would be interested in an answer to condortrader's initial question. I have v.2.5 as well.
    Thanks

    Hey Murray,
Can TStudio work with TS2007 vendor data? It's ASCII so it should....correct?
