How does one write a plot of COT data that is a simple custom indicator?

Start with Tools, Open Editor, then File, New, and select Indicator Plot.  Then would come the Sub COTPlot(), Dim plotdata, ... PlotIndicator(plotdata), End Sub.  What goes in place of the ... ?

Then COTPlot should be listed in Indicator, Custom Indicator, ready for use, right?

It depends on what COT data you are importing for example

 Plot1(Close of independent1) will give you the close of the second day stream so that would be the COT data in the close field .

You should set up COT data as weekly timeframe
