TradersStudio’s^® power as a trading system development tool has just taken a quantum leap with the release of the TradersStudio’s Genetic Optimizer™.  This product uses Genetic Algorithms to evolve the best sets of parameters for TraderStudio’s Sessions, even one running large portfolio, as well as Trade Plans, which allows you to optimize asset allocation and money management. 

The case study in the manual shows how without any programming, just using a few mouse clicks you can optimize a system on a basket of markets.  

TradersStudio’s Genetic Optimizer™ simply plugs into TradersStudio’s menus. 

It is very easy to use, simply select the session or trade plan to run on and set new parameters and your off and running fast!

You simply select the session from available ones in the dropdown; select the number of generations to evolve and the number of members of the population.  Using the simple default here the genetic optimizer will do only 200 trials, 20 generation times, 10 members in the population to find a solution which is nearly as good, as or better than the ones which required 1000’s of trials using the brute force for optimizer in TradersStudio.

You can even set the start and end date for your optimization.  Setting each parameter range is also easy.

You set each parameter and press forward.  On the last parameter it will show you an end button.  Press that and you will get your solutions at lighting speed. 

That’s only the starting point, if you are an advanced TradersStudio user you can use the macro language extensions for the Genetic Optimizer and use if from code to automate the process.  You can even use the Multi Chromosome GA to evolve trading rules.  Combine this with Neural Studio™ and get more power for a fraction of the cost.
